An other school year is over ...

Das zweite Schuljahr in Irland neigt sich dem Ende zu und morgen um 12 am schliesst die Schule fuer 10 Wochen. Hoffentlich ist der Sommer gut genug, dass die Umbauarbeiten in der Schule ordentlich vorangehn und im Herbst die Kinder nicht allzusehr stoeren, wenn die Schule wieder beginnt. Mini darf noch eine Woche laenger in die Preschool gehen und ich hoffe, sie geniest es von den Grossen gebracht zu werden. Heute gab es noch den "school report" und noch immer liebe ich die irische Ausdrucksweise.
The second school year is over and tomorrow 12 am the school gate closes for the next 10 weeks. I hope they are busy and have a good summer so the new school building will be finished soon and the kids will have a good start and not to much noise in september. Just the little one has an other week left and I hope she enjoys to be brought by the brother and the sister. Today we got an the school reports and I love how the teachers characterize the kids!

my girl:

She is very capable i all subjects; her mathematical language is developing very well which should soon match other areas. R.'s written work is very good, completing tasks independently and quickly with a lovely cursive style. It was a pleasure to work with R. in First class."

my son:

"I. is a quiet well behaved child who asks questions and partakes in all class activities very well. He has made great progress this year. It is very evident that I. loves school. He asks intelligent questions if he is unsure in on effort to further himself and this has resulted in some fantastic exam results. I. should be very proud of all the hard work he has put in. I. is a vere cheerful boy who brightens up our class endlessly."

Gaelige: EX listening - I. finds Irish very easy and enjoys exploring new topics

Noch ein Ereignis gab es diese Woche: Sohnemann durfte beim Spiel Galway United vs St. Patrick dabei sein und hat in der Halbzeit ein kleines Match gespielt. Leider hat Galway United verloren, aber die Kinder hatten ihren Spass *g*
