Brownies ...

What could you do while you are waiting for the ordered wool to be delivered? You make something nice for the kids and so we made brownies. The recipe is american and I got a lot of tips. Ok, some things had to be changed because some ingredients can't be bought here or are just similar to the original used ones but the kids liked them :) One asked to change the birthdaycake to brownies!

Today the wool arrived and I can start to make the next piece from the To-Do-List. I am very excited to start :)

Busy Sunday ...

Looks like I got a sewing-fever and so I sat to my little sewing machine. All the fabric were precut days ago and my little daughter made the enrichment with ribbons. So I sew my first Tilda-hearts. The fabric selection and the ribbon selection was made by my daughter. The hearts are filled with lavender from the Granny.
Because the sewing machine was on the table and the table was totally clean (my sewing place is the dining table) I should use the time and make some more little stuff. So I tried to make a needle-case from the Tilda-book, but it looks like I made something wrong. My little girls always says that this is her "butefly" ( she is not really used to say a R). Ok! Because she loves to play with my needles we maybe can share it. Or should I try to make a "buttefly"?
In the morning I prepared loops for twins. They should not freeze when they are on their holiday. And the loops are really easy - if you know how ;) One pink and one yellow - the girls favourite colours.

When I start to cut fabrics I cut as much as I can and so I also prepared the fabric vor an other loop for the twins mum. And because you never have enough loops at home - my kids are really good in "forgetting" things - I also made one in reserve.
Actually my list should now be shorter but as always: for every finished thing there is at least one new one put on the list. There are a lot of things needed to be finished and a lot of new ideas took place at the end of the list. So work will never be finished ;)

Tausch ...

Sometimes you go into a shop and you see a fabric you must have. You know exactly what you want to make and so you buy it. So I bought this lovely pink cotton and I knew that this will be an other notebook-cover and so I sat to my maschine. Immediatly and with loud noise I started to sew. So the last few days the new cover was produced. But what should I do with an other notebook? I just made myself a diary.

Also eigentlich alles :D
I would like to offer it for a swap against everything I can't get or hardly get in Ireland .. and thats almost everything :)

Originally I wanted to add the matching bag but my little daughter decided to keep it and put her fly agaric from Grittli to the zip.
Ok, in that case I can offer one of these two bags additonal to the notebook.

And because winter came back - not so bad as at Christmastime - the kids decided to drink hot schocolate with marshmallows again. It really tastes jummy!

Sunny Sunday in town ...

Yesterday we took just a girls day and went into town and tried to shop some things. So we went into a lot of shops and it was just fun. We tried some clothes, looked for a buttercup (big enough to fit the butter) and bought some sewing stuff (ribbons and fabrics). After a long walk and tired feed we decided to get some sweets and because I read on an other blog about it, we had a look in the "Tea House". It was a "Wow!" when we stepped in. It loookes so beautiful and the best thing was a table full with coloured cupcakes, scones and cakes. It looked so delicious! We just bought 6 cupcakes in lovely colours and of course my little girl chose the ones with glitter on :)
I am sure I will be back on Friday for an enjoying teatime after the visit to the library. I have to show you some pictures of the interior. It looks so nice there and the girls will like it!

Liebster Blog ....

... I received in the last days from Karin and I am soo happy about that. Thank you so much! It just took some days to take it because the computer was infected and I needed to wait for help. I just hope it is fixed now and I can finish some stuff.

Liebe Bloggerin: Das Ziel dieser Aktion ist, dass wir
unbekannte, gute Blogs ans Licht bringen.

My little Missy schau ich mir gern an

And because my laptop is working again and I still have a long list to be worked through I just can show some pictures of things I am working on...

Auf die Ergebnisse muss noch gewartet werden :)
The results will need some more time :)

Last day in school

I was really surprised when I went to the parents-teacher-meeting a couple of weeks ago and found out that my sons teacher is expecting a baby. So I knew she will be leavin school a short time after Christmas. But I did not know that she is leaving today. So I was really astinished when my son told me yesterday! I was not finished with the gift for the baby so I had to work a little longer yesterday night. But I did it! Just a little hat for the baby with the colours chosen by my son. I hope she likes it.
And because I have a long list to do and I have a little girl helping me I also finished some other things. So the little girl wanted to have a bolster with owls on it. She chose the fabrics - of course pink and purple - and I started to sew. The biggest problem was that the owl did not have feet so we also had to add two feet to each. Now she also has her own bolster :)
The last thing I wanted to do was my diary. I love the format of this books so I had to sew a cover. I also wanted to have a place for a pen and so this is my new diary and I like it.
If anyone has a trick to put the snaps correctly on the fabric for the first time -please tell me! I always need much more than just the 4 items!
And because I was so successful the last days there was an other awesome achievement today! The little one went into school - without tears, without crying and without hugging very hard - just a "good bye" and a kiss! Now she is a big girl too :)

Creativ Day ...

After a long christmas holiday everyone is happy that school started again and normal life can go on. So I used the new time schedule and started to finish some things. The list is still very long but I am sure to work through it the next days. The first thing done were the cover for the cushions. Every now and than I drive to the "Irish Patchwork Society" Meeting and buy some FQ the child joining me can select. So the fabrics chosen by one of the kids are now on our pillow.

And because I had the sewing mashine on the table the kids got their loops so they need not freeze on the long way to school (the school is across the street). The colours match the hats they have so everyone hast now a set. The only things missing are gloves but I think and hope the time therefore is over so I don't make any now. I hope they like them :)

It was a long break. Ireland does not have a lot of bank holidays during the year - I counted nine last time - so it was a little funny that there were so many days off in the last weeks. But after the last bank holiday on Monday the 1st our postman started to work again and brought our parcel we were waiting for so long. A big "Thank You" to Austria! And because we had no chance to use them during the christmas days we use them now. It's only that the original plan - stars for the parents and green ones for the kids - does not match the little ones head. She decided to get the star!

On sunday I went to "ROBOTICS Ireland FIRST LEGO League Challenge!"  with the kids. It was not really a lot to do there. The kids could watch the robots solve some problems on a field and they could talk to some students who trained lego robots. So they could see how a robot can be controlled by a mobile and they learnd how the wings of a plane is moving during a flight.
